BULL MOUNTAIN AREA MAP: The area highlighted in blue represents the area commonly referred to as Bull Mountain. The east / northeast section (and a smaller area to the southeast) of Bull Mountain is primarily within the city limits of Tigard, Oregon. The balance of Bull Mountain to the west is unincorporated and under the jurisdiction of Washington County. King City is to the south; Beaverton and Tigard are north of Bull Mountain.
The west slope of Bull Mountain to Roy Rogers Rd. (including a smaller area slightly beyond the blue highlighted area to SW 175th Ave.), has recently been brought into the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) and is currently in the early stages of concept planning for urbanization through Washington County Planning Department. The areas are designated as UGB areas 63 and 64.
SIZE AND POPULATION: The total combined land area of Bull Mountain (including the UGB areas 63 and 64, as well as 200+ acres not yet in the UGB, but included in the county concept planning process) is roughly 2500 acres with a current population of approximately 12,000 residents, projected to reach capacity in the next ten years at 22,000 to 27,000 residents.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Local areas of interest include the Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge, the Tualatin River, Ponzi Winery, Cooper Mountain Winery, numerous local produce farms, Cooper Mountain’s 200+ acre nature area, Fanno Creek Trail, Cook Park, King City Community Park, Summer Lake Park, the proposed 26 mile Westside Regional Trail between Portland and Wilsonville and the new commuter rail line transporting commuters between Beaverton and Wilsonville. Bridgeport Village, the recently completed lifestyle center, is only minutes from the greater Bull Mountain area.
